Field Safety Notification Regarding Unexpected Shutdown
* AED 10 software versions 2.03.xx, 2.04.xx, 2.05.xx and 2.06.xx
There is a remote possibility that devices set for an initial shock of 150 Joules can unexpectedly shut down if the instructions for the start up sequence are not followed. Factory setting for a 150 Joule first shock were used only for devices shipped with UK English as the default voice setting (970302U or 970308U). All other devices have higher first shock factory settings.

Field Safety Notification:
150 joule (devices set to deliver an initial shock of 150 Joules) - remote possibility that the AED 10 could unexpectedly shut down during use if:
1. the instructions on the device are not followed and

Note: Device serial numbers beginning with the letters "AL" or "NB" or part numbers 980150 (AED10 Trainers) are not affected by this notification.

You will need to know your AED 10 (Jumpstart) serial number, located on the back of your device, to determine if your device is subject to one or both of these notifications.
